The location of the next Supercharging station is up to the owners.

The invitation to vote on new locations was put out by the electric car company, but it had previously announced its intention to open more Supercharging stations. Up to five locations in a list of 183 possible sites can be voted on by the owners of the electric car company. You can suggest a location that isn't on the list.

Lake Okeechobee is currently in the lead with 558 votes. There isn't a Supercharging station in the town of 5000 people. Plugshare says there aren't any Level 2 charging spots in town.

There is a DC fast charging station located in the center of town that plays nice with all other EV manufacturers. Not all cars can support the conversion of CHAdeMO plugs without a service upgrade, as evidenced by the fact that there are not many cars that can do it. A new Supercharging station might be a good idea for Lake Okeechobee.

At the time of writing, Star Base, Texas, was in fourth place with 451 votes. The Boca Chica spaceport is where the company produces rockets like the Falcon Heavy and has a lot of fans nearby. Big Bear Lake, California, with 537 votes, is one of the big votes.

One of the largest EV charging networks in the world, consisting of 4,283 Supercharging stations and 38,884 connections, is owned and operated byTesla. It has started to accept EV's from other companies in Europe, but it is only available to owners of the electric car company. It's possible that some of the stations will need to be altered to work with the North AmericanCCS1 standard.

As the Supercharger network grows, it is hoped that other EV's will be supported in the US.

Since there is a standard EV connection in Europe and Asia, it's easier to open up Superchargers there. In North America, the company uses a proprietary connecter.

As the Supercharger network grows, it will be possible forTesla to add stations that support other EV's in the US. It is starting to warm up to the idea, as evidenced by the new version of the at- home Level 2 Wall Charger that has the popular J1772 plug.
