Justice Barrett rejects appeal over Biden student debt plan

The Supreme Court justice turned down the appeal from the Wisconsin taxpayers group.

The Brown County Taxpayers Association has lost several times in lower federal courts and was turned away byBarrett. The group wrote in its Supreme Court filing that it needed an emergency order to put the program on hold.

Emergency appeals from other states are overseen byBarrett. The rest of the court was not involved in her actions.

The group's lawsuit was dismissed by the district judge because they didn't have the right to bring it. A panel of judges refused to make a decision.
