The Pandemic has made it easier for patients to attend appointments and get the care they need. Rebecca Weisinger has seen a lot of patients fail in the process of getting a device.
Equipt aims to simplify the process for providers and patients to get medical equipment needed for care. The process has to be easy because of patients' physical limits and lack of resources.
Though Weisinger has seen access issues professionally, she has also seen her friends and family experience difficulties in accessing medical equipment. Equipt wants to make the process simpler by being the packager, thelogistics, the clinician, and the return of data from connected devices.
The company launched earlier this year and is certified to deliver in 24 states. Weisinger said that the company is looking at expanding.
The company has been able to focus its efforts on sleep apnea products through the creation of a sub- brand.

The company will guide the patient on the next steps of getting medical equipment if they qualify for a home sleep test.
The launch announcement said that the new service would give users a better way to understand and improve their health through sleep tests, best-in-class treatment devices and access to board certified physicians. 24 million Americans are at risk for serious health problems such as diabetes, heart disease, and high blood pressure because they are not diagnosed with sleep apnea.
Equipt works with medical device companies to prove a more integrated path for patients. Once a company launches medically cleared equipment, they can market the product on their website to fulfill demand. This feeds into the company's financial model.
Equipt is not accepting insurance payments for care at the moment, but will soon.
Weisinger said she hopes to expand services to cater to people with more chronic conditions.
Weisinger said that they want to help a lot of the new companies. There are great opportunities in the use of breast pumps and other home medical devices that can be used to treat diabetes and other conditions.
