Satellite internet on planes is a goal of the company.
The official details of the Starlink satellite internet service for aviation have been released by the company.
The company said that Starlink can deliver up to 350Mbps to each plane.
Video calls, online gaming, virtual private networks and other high data rate activities can be engaged in by passengers with low data rate.
In 2023, Starlink Aviation says it will bring the tech to the sky.
An electronically steered phased array antenna, which enables new levels of reliability, will be used by the service. It has a simple design that allows installations during minimal downtime and other maintenance checks.
Satellites overhead or nearby provide a strong signal at high latitudes and in the polar regions, unlike withgeo-stationary satellites.
It will cost $12,500 to $25,000 per month on top of an initial hardware fee.
The internet in airplanes will feel the same as if you were at home.

The FCC approved Starlink to provide internet services on moving vehicles. Starlink was being negotiated with airlines before the approval was given.
The CEO of Delta admitted earlier this year that the airline tested internet technology from Starlink.
The Starlink internet will be deployed by Hawaiian Airlines around the same time.
