On Monday, October 24th, Apple will release iPadOS 16 and macOS Ventura, as well as the newest version of the company's mobile operating system.

There are at least eight new features in the latest version of the operating system for the device. We shared complete release notes for the update ahead of its release next week, as well as recapped everything new in the latest version of the mobile operating system.

iCloud Shared Photo Library

It's easy to share photos with your family and friends in the Photos app with the help of the iCloud shared photo library. You and up to five other people will be able to add, edit, or remove photos in a shared library.

Live Activities for Third-Party Apps

In the App Store, Live Activities can be found. The Lock Screen can be used to stay up to date on real-time events, such as a sports game or a food delivery order.

There are live activities at the bottom of the Lock Screen on the iPhone 13 models and earlier. Live Activities can be found on the Dynamic Island when the device is unlocked or on the Lock Screen when the device is locked.

Clean Energy Charging

The Clean Energy Charging feature in the newest version of Apple's mobile operating system aims to decrease the carbon footprint of the iPhone by adjusting charging times for cleaner energy sources. Only the US has the feature.

Apple Fitness+ Without an Apple Watch

Without an Apple Watch, Apple Fitness+ is only available to users of the App Store. Real-time metrics like heart rate and calories burned during a workout can't be seen on the phone without an Apple watch.

Apple Fitness+ has a library of over 3000 workout and meditation videos. The service is available in 21 countries, with the U.S. being the only country where it is not free.

Matter Accessories in Home App

Matter is an upcoming standard that will allow compatible smart home accessories to work together across multiple platforms.

If you want to control Matter accessories with the Home app, you'll need an Apple TV, Apple TV 4K, or Apple TV HD.

Apple Card Savings Account

Apple Card users will be able to open a high-yield savings account from Goldman Sachs and have their Daily Cash rewards automatically deposited into it, with no fees, minimum deposits, or balance requirements. The savings account will be managed in the wallet app.

Reachability Support for Dynamic Island

The Dynamic Island can be accessed with one hand, thanks to Reachability support in the latest version of the software.

The lower the top half of the screen, the easier it is for you to reach it. It is possible to enable the feature in the settings app. On the bottom edge of the screen is where the feature can be used. The upper half of the screen is where you can return to a regular view.

Key Sharing in Wallet App

You can securely share keys in the Wallet app for cars, hotel rooms, and more using messaging apps.
