Marriott Bonvoy has created a website for people with lifetime elite status. The recent "share your achievements" initiative is more intriguing to me.
Those with Marriott Bonvoy Platinum or Titanium lifetime elite status should have received an email from Marriott. There is a special message from Marriott's CEO, a complimentary gift, and a personal Marriott Bonvoy highlights.
Ben, take a look back at your member journey like never before with a special message from Marriott International CEO Anthony Capuano. Then claim your complimentary Lifetime Elite gift to celebrate everywhere your travels take you. View your personal Marriott Bonvoy highlights and get inspired by the Lifetime Platinum Elite community you are part of.
You can use your Marriott Bonvoy credentials to log into the website.
The most interesting tabs on the website are how many points you have earned and redeemed, how many nights you have stayed, and the brands you have stayed at.
The top cities that Marriott Bonvoy members redeem points at are shown on the tab.
Alimentary luggage tags set to highlight your status and show that you are part of the Lifetime Platinum Elite community is what the gift is.
There is a one minute video from Marriott's CEO which features the head of Marriott Bonvoy as well as a bunch of Marriott employees thanking Bonvoy members for their loyalty in a variety of languages.
Loyalty programs consolidate statistics about member activity over time. It is cool to see where other people have stayed as well. I am confused by some of the numbers.
I wonder if I am in Marriott Bonvoy debt because I have redeemed more points than I have earned. I think this goes back to the days of the S.P.G., so I am confused.
I was surprised by my most visited city. Jamaica is number 3. I am surprised that Jamaica is my third most visited city, even though I have stayed at the Sheraton JFK several times.
I realize that I don't have a lot of Marriott properties. I choose Marriotts as a backup because I prefer Hyatt, and as a result, I don't stay at the same Marriotts multiple times.
There is a new website for Marriott's lifetime elite members, which includes a free luggage tag. The website has some cool statistics that I like to look at, but I don't know how accurate it is or how much of a factor it is when it comes to activity in the past.
