Newly released footage shows that Donald Trump once asked if someone was a good Jewish character as he mused about his low popularity with American Jews.
After Alex shared the video with The New York Times, he posted it on his social media accounts. "Unprecedented" is a documentary about the 2020 re- election campaign. The film maker became a key witness in the January 6 hearings because of his access to Trump's circle.
According to The Times, the video that was not included in the documentary takes place at an event at Trump's golf club in New Jersey on May 20, 2021.

The footage shows Trump talking about his contributions to the Jewish community.
He looked at what he did for the rabbi. According to The Times, this was a reference to Sholom Rubashkin, who was convicted of bank fraud and money laundering after his meatpacking plant in Iowa was raided in 2008.
Ruboshkin was sentenced to 27 years in prison. Ruboshkin is not a rabbi.
Trump made comments about Persians before the clip ended. He warned someone after she confirmed she was Persian. They are very good at selling things.
A request for comment was not responded to by a Trump spokesman.
