Over a quarter of a billion devices that people use each month are running the latest version of the operating system. The new version of the software will require more power than previous versions.

Material You is a version of the OS that lets you pick a color scheme based on your wallpaper. Material You was a feature of the original version of the OS, but the Go edition didn't include it. It is possible that the types of phones the OS is designed for would be strained by those.

With the new version, users will be able to keep their phone up to date without having to worry about a full phone update, as well as being able to roll out new features and security patches without the need for a full phone update. Features from the regular version of the OS are included in the 13 Go version.

The company says there will be new phones with the new operating system in the years to come. There is a chance that a lot of people will need to upgrade their hardware to get the new version. The Android 13 version will require at least 2GB of memory, as well as 16GB of storage, which is more than the 2GB of RAM that was advertised. phones built for the new version of Go are going to have to be a bit beefier because it is a significant step up from the 1GB requirement for the previous versions.
