According to reports, Brooklyn Nets point guard Kyrie Irving tried to bring his team closer together.
Irving set up a team dinner for the entire Nets roster that was attended by other franchise officials, according to Shams.

"I think being the one to coordinate that goes a long way in terms of leadership and also what he's tried to set forth this offseason with a lot of instability that's occurred." The Nets should be ready for a good season now that it looks stable.
Irving received a lot of attention this winter. He received permission to seek a sign-and-trade from the Nets. He was rumored to be pushing for a trade to the Los Angeles Lakers in order to get a chance to play with his friend and teammate.
Irving's questionable use of social media resulted in him sharing a video with conspiracy theories from Alex Jones. The NBA Hall of Famer said for Irving to associate himself with Jones "means you share his stench."
The 30-year-old has not shied away from speaking out against vaccine mandates, despite her opposition to the vaccine. After getting backlash for posting the Jones video, he didn't show any remorse.
Nets forward Kevin Durant's trade request seems like an unimportant one compared to what Irving did in the off-season. The team was in disarray for a while before the 12-time All-Star decided to move forward with Brooklyn.
The Nets should be one of the top teams in the Eastern Conference in the NBA playoffs. Three-time All-Star Ben Simmons will be making his return to the court after missing all of last season due to injuries.
Brooklyn will play New Orleans in its season opener.
