The email addresses of some of Parler's most elite members were exposed on Monday. The company sent out an email to a group of people, instead of copying them, because they were Rushing to tell them about the acquisition. Tim Pool and Laura Loomer had their email addresses shared with each other.

Adam Ryan, a newsletter writer, shared the news that the thread had exposed the personal emails of many verified users. An elite status marker given out to accounts held by celebrities, journalists, media organizations, public officials, government entities, businesses, organizations, and non-profits was one of the things on the list.

Among the affected account holders were high-profile members of the conservative uppercrust, including staffers for Sen. Ted Cruz and former President Donald Trump. According to other sources, even people like Dan Scavino were affected by the hack.

The company notified its gold badges about the platform's "monumental new Yeezy chapter" and praised the users as "an invaluable part of the Parler family and experience." One user joked that the email didn't inspire much gratitude. It is a pleasure to work with such a great crew. L. Lin Wood said he had lost interest in Parler since he was banned from its platform without cause.

It is not clear if Parler acknowledged the mistake or did anything to correct it. If the company responds, the story will be updated.

This one doesn't seem to be that bad. It seems more than likely that a lot of these people had each other's contact information already given the incestuous nature of elite society. It is never a good idea for a tech company to give out personal information. Parler isn't good at data security. Last year, the company had a pretty unfortunate data kerfuffle, in which hacktivists stole all the data from the platform and uploaded it to the Internet Archive.
