The hit that left Tua Tagovailoa with a concussion temporarily knocked him out of the game.

The third-year quarterback told reporters that his memory of the night is hazy.

Tua Tagovailoa of experiencing the concussion: "I wouldn't say it was scary for me at the time because there was a point where I was unconscious. I couldn't tell what was going on."

He remembers up to the point where he got tackled, doesn't remember stretcher, etc.

There was a point I was unconscious. I remember the entire night up until the point I got tackled. I don’t remember being carted off. I do remember some things from the ambulance and the hospital. - Tua pic.twitter.com/TgImx1G9Ls

Tagovailoa's head hit the ground after Josh Tupou sacked him in the second quarter. An ambulance took him to a hospital.

Whether the Miami quarterback should have been playing in the first place became part of the discussion.

There was a time when Tagovailoa struggled to get up after a hit. The Dolphins initially said he was questionable to return due to a head injury, but later said he was having ankle and back issues.

There were no violations of the league's concussion protocols found. The outcome in this case was not what was intended.

The consultants who helped clear Tagovailoa to return against the Bills were fired by the players union.

Tagovailoa missed the last two games for the Dolphins as they lost three in a row.
