It's official: 30,000 people were dumb enough to buy "Burnt Hair" meme perfume for $100 a pop, and now, he's claiming it's "sold out."
The Boring Company, Musk's tunnel digging venture, had sold out of the "exquisite" perfume that is, per its creator, a "unique, limited edition, collector's item."
The product Musk has launched in the past is called Burnt Hair. The richest man in the world made a joke about a "scent for men" that smelled of burning hair.
The joke became real enough for the CEO of the two companies to sell 30,000 bottles.
Musk's fans will have to wait until they can smell something. The repugnant scent will not be released until the beginning of 2023 according to The Boring Company.
Musk's on-again, off-again purchase is surrounding the whole silliness.
He asked people to buy his perfume so he could buy his own account on the social networking site.
It's not the first time Musk has sold "joke" items, first with the "Not-A-thrower" and later with hisTesla- branded short- shorts.
Musk is threatening to make weapons.
