Alabama WR Jermaine Burton Accused of Hitting Female Fan in Head After Tennessee Loss

The Alabama wide receiver is accused of hitting a female Tennessee fan after the game.

Emily Isaacs shared a video on social media in which she claimed that Burton hit her in the head.

Another fan uploaded a video.

There was no comment from the police before the story was published. Alabama head coach Nick Saban acknowledged the incident when speaking to reporters and said the school was currently working to gather more information.

It was understandable that the celebrations were frenzied.

The SEC fined Tennessee $100,000 after they rushed on the field.

Ensuring that the opposing team's players have a safe path to the tunnel is almost impossible because they have little time to leave the field before field-storming starts.

That doesn't excuse violence from either fans or players, but administrators are concerned about fans being on the field.

Burton is a junior at Alabama. He has caught 18 passes for 266 yards and three touchdown.
