Ahead of the start of the 2022-23 season, Irving has high expectations for himself.

Irving told Shams that he is going for every piece of hardware that he could possibly get out of the NBA.

After a disappointing and frustrating season, the Nets are hoping for better results in the future.

Irving was limited to 29 games because of injuries and his refusal to get the vaccine at a time when some places had vaccine mandates.

Ben Simmons, who was acquired in a February trade with the Philadelphia 76ers, missed most of the season because of a back injury.

The Nets were swept in the first round of the playoffs by the Celtics.

There was almost as much drama in the off season as there was in the regular season. If Steve Nash and Sean Marks weren't fired, Kevin demanded a trade. All three remain members of the organization.

Nash said he didn't think that was 100%. There are a lot of things. A lot of things happened. There are a lot of things going on.

Irving was given permission by the Nets to explore possible sign-and-trade opportunities. He's going to play out this season on his player option before he becomes a free agent.

If the Nets can stay healthy and avoid drama, they can be one of the best teams in the NBA and a title contender.

Irving was the NBA's rookies of the year in 2011. He's been to the All-NBA team three times, but never a first-team selection. The 30-year-old played an important role in the Cleveland basketball team winning the NBA title.

Irving was one of the best offensive players in the league last year. He averaged 27.4 points, 5.8 assists and 4.4 rebound per game.
