Samsung's future wearable device could challenge the Oura Ring

The market currently dominated by Oura is being eyed by the company. A smart ring is being developed by the tech giant.

The latest leak comes from Korean publication Naver, which claims that SAMSUNG applied for a smart ring patent in the U.S. The Oura Ring (Gen 3) is one of the best smart rings and will be included in the own version of the device.

The ring will have an optical blood flow measurement sensor as well as an electrocardiogram, according to the patent document. It will be able to control other devices, which could set it apart from the competition.
