The announcement of the new iPad by Apple coincides with the release of a new version of the Crayon stylus. The new stylus costs the same as the old model, $69.95, but now features a USB-C charging port instead of the old Lightning port, which is a good change.
When used with the base-level iPad, the Logitech Crayon has a more elegant charging mechanism than the Apple Pencil. It is possible to charge the stylus using the cable that comes with the tablets. The Apple Pencil is incompatible with the new iPad.
The Crayon can last up to seven hours on a single charge, compared to 12 hours for the Apple Pencil. According to MacRumors, the pressure sensitivity of Apple's first party model isn't as good as it could be. These kinds of budget-conscious tradeoffs could be worth it when it comes to an accessory for Apple's most affordable range of tablets.
