  • Galaxy S22 series with the new One UI 5 beta 5 build spotted in China.
  • The beta 5 update seems to fix minor issues from previous builds.
  • Meanwhile, Samsung has extended the One UI 5 beta program to its latest foldable devices.

The OneUI 5 beta 5 is already out for the S22 series in China.

The changelog was spotted by Ice Universe and appears to be related to the OneUI 5 update. A simple translation of the changelog shows what the update brings to the table.

The update has a weight of around 472MB. Many issues from the previous builds are fixed in the latest one. The update comes with a security patch level in August.

They include fixes for the watch plug-in that would cause it to close. Problems with image quality and focus are fixed by it. Issues with the phone restarting, the multitasking interface not showing the "close all" button, and several other bugs have been addressed.

New fingerprints and voice calls' audio issues are addressed with the new update. Although it's not clear why, the latest build has removed Bixby text calls completely.

It will expand to global markets very soon, including the U.S., after the final version of OneUI 5 is released.

Galaxy Z Fold 4/Flip 4 join the One UI 5 beta list

The OneUI 5beta program was opened last week for the foldable phones from the company, as well as the Note 20 devices. According to a new report, the Korean tech giant is extending the program to its newest foldable phones, the Z fold 4 and the Z flip 4.

South Korea and Europe are said to be the first places to see the first betas. If you want to check your device's eligibility, you can head to the members app and tap on the OneUI 5beta banner.
