According to the firms representing them, the lawsuit will be filed on behalf of Floyd's daughter by her mother.

According to the statement, the firms issued a cease and desist to West because of his comments about Floyd's death.

The medical examiner testified that Floyd's drug use was a contributing factor in his death.

The lawyers said that the rapper's rant continues to be viewed and shared on social media platforms by millions across the globe.

The statement said that West's remarks were damaging to the Floyd estate.
