The Travelers Championship and the Wells Fargo Championship will be among 13 elevated events with at least $20 million in purses in the next five years, according to sources.

The tour's top players have committed to play in nine other elevated events as the tour continues to battle the upstart LIV Golf circuit for the best players in the world.

The details of the elevated events were reported by Golfweek.

The WGC-Dell Technologies Match Play, the FedEx St. Jude Championship, and the Tour Championship would be included in the list.

Once the PGA Tour returns to a calendar-year-based schedule in 2024, the other four elevated tournaments are expected to rotation on an annual basis.

The schedule changes were part of the recommendations made by the players after a meeting with Tiger Woods and others. Each of the 13 elevated events, four major championships, and three other tour events have been committed to by a top tour player.

The week after a major, two new events will be played. The week after the Masters, the Royal Bank of Canada Heritage will take place at Harbour Town Golf Links. The Travelers Championship is the week after the US Open at Los Angeles Country Club.

Jon Rahm said that you're elevating great events. There's a lot of history at all of them. They are deserving of it. Do you mean Travelers after majors? I don't want to play after a major, but I have seen people do well and there's no reason why you can't.
