A big announcement has been teased by the airline. It wasn't a big deal at all.
A new pillow and blanket, as well as other items, will be included in business class for Giorgio Armani.
The airline flew a bunch of people to Abu Dhabi to reveal this, and generously offered to let Bloggers use the pictures he took, so you can find some of them below. He has done a great job of covering the event, so make sure you follow him and check out his coverage.
During the press conference, Tony Douglas talked about how everyone at headquarters liked seeing online speculation about what was being announced. We thought the airline had something interesting to say.
After all the hype, I am just going to go to the gym, because that is a better use of my time. We try to go to the gym when we have a gap in our work hours. Give me 30 minutes if a story is important. I don't believe this qualifies.
The date of the announcement wasn't correct. The announcement was supposed to be on the 19th, but then there was a media reveal about the product on the 18th. SMH...
I gave the airline too much credit for expecting something worthwhile, even though my speculation about what the announcement would be was correct.
You might be able to give feedback to Mr. Douglas at the event. I will let you know how I really feel after reading this post.
