Nothing hikes price of Ear 1 earbuds by 50 percent

Carl Pei, the company's CEO, has said that the price of Ear 1 earbuds will not be hiked. Pei said that the price will go up on October 26th. There were no price changes for the phone.

Pei justified the price increase by noting the amount of development effort that has gone into the earbuds. The CEO said that when they first developed it, they only had 3 engineers. We have 185 now. The Ear 1 is a completely different product than it was when we launched it.
