There is a rollable mobile phone on display at the Tech World event. The screen expands and contracts with the press of a button.
The demo video only shows the front of the device, and the screen rolls up from the bottom edge. There are at least battery and cellular indicator icons on the screen for this concept. The rolling display is a flexible panel that can be rolled up to 4 inches.
The company isn't giving any more information at this time. It is unclear if it will ever reach the market, and flexible concepts are not very popular right now. Over the past few years, there have been many teases of flexible products, but no viable commercial product to show for them. We know how that went for the rollable concept. One can hope that we will get the China-only folding 2022, but honestly, we would just settle for it.
