During a two hour rain delay, league officials, umpires and team representatives met multiple times, but the game was eventually postponed as the rainy weather in New York persisted into the night.

It's possible that the postponement could be a benefit for the Yankees.

Jameson Taillon was scheduled to start Monday's game even though he took the loss in Game 2 when he entered in the 10th and gave up a double, two runs and a single.

The Yankees could use three days of rest for Tuesday's game since Cleveland had little trouble with him.
