Four Men Were Killed And Dismembered After Going Out To “Hit A Lick” On Their Bicycles

A person of interest in the killings has been identified as the owner of the two scrap yards. Kennedy was last spoken to by investigators on Friday afternoon, when the men's remains were found in a nearby river. Kennedy appeared to be cooperative and wasn't hostile, according to Prentice. Police were called to the area of the Deep Fork River southwest of town after a passerby noticed suspicious items in the water. The bodies of four men were recovered from the objects. It wasn't until late Sunday night that the bodies were confirmed to be from the missing friends.

The official cause and manner of death is still pending, but each victim was shot and dismembered before being placed in the river. It took so long because of that.

It was the first time in his career that he had seen four men disappear at the same time. He said that while he had worked dozens of murders and had seen cases where bodies are dismembered, this case involved the most victims.

Family members made pleas on social media for any information that might lead them to their loved ones, as they searched for answers about what happened to the men.

"If anyone in this town has a camera on their house or on their doorbell, please review your footage just to be sure that you didn't catch them walking by or riding by, please do it for our families."

The family members of the victims were upset and distraught when he talked to them earlier in the day.
