Africa has a wide range of undiscovered destinations, from the Nile River cruise in Egypt to a trip to South Africa.

No matter what you want to do, there are plenty of things to see and do.

If you want to go on a vacation to Africa, you should look at these destinations.

Lake Malawi, Malawi

The golden sands of Lake Malawi are still available for sunbathing. The landmark waterhole borders three countries and is home to a unique collection of endemic flora and fauna.

Visitors can snorkel in the clear lake waters to see diverse fish species, lock eyes on the Big Five (lions, leopards, black rhinos, elephants and African buffalo) at nearby spots like Majete Wildlife Reserve, or hop on a boat tour along the Shire River through Liwon

Okavango Delta, Botswana

Are you hoping to see the black rhinoceros, African lion and white rhinoceros? You can go to the Okavango Delta in southern Africa. Visitors can explore the UNESCO World Heritage site on foot, by boat, in a vehicle, or in a helicopter.

The Moremi Game Reserve is located on the east side of the Okavango Delta. You can't go wandering around your lodge alone at night if you don't know that this game reserve isn't fenced in.

Africa is under-the-radar.

Saly, Senegal

The sands of Saly are less than an hour's drive from the bustling music and market scene of Dakar. If you want to relax, play golf, dine and just enjoy a low-key holiday at an affordable hotel or home rental, this area is the place for you.

Lake Retba, which emits a pinkish hue thanks to special salina algae in its waters, is a great place to take a day trip to. The Somone Lagoon is a mangrove and beach area that is home to the water bird species.

Nyerere National Park, Tanzania

The most popular spots in the country are usually called international travelers to the country. Nyerere National Park, one of the largest wildlife sanctuaries in East Africa, is a great place to connect with nature.

During a three day trip to the park, visitors can see elephants, rhinos, lions, buffaloes, leopards, cheetahs, zebras, giraffes and Hippos.

Bazaruto Archipelago, Mozambique

The Bazaruto Archipelago is a group of islands located off the coast of Africa. It feels like you are in the Caribbean, lounging on white sands and swimming in turquoise waters.

One of the largest populations of dugongs are found in the Indian Ocean. There are sharks, whales, dolphins, manta rays, turtles and hundreds of coral and fish species on the five islands in the national park. Many of the marine delights can be accessed by snorkelers at low tides.

Despite the arid climate, there are a number of endemic plants and other species in the vast sand dunes. A hot air balloon is the best way to view the sand. The salt and clay pans of Sossusvlei and Deadvlei are some of the most well-known sites in the park.

Some of the tallest dunes are Big Mama Dune, Big Daddy Dune and Dune 45. It is difficult to manage the sand. The sand is less hot when you visit early in the morning.

It can be difficult to decide on which island to visit. Each of the main islands is special in its own way. Felicite Island is just a few miles from La Digue.

There are large boulders near the white sands and azure waters. What's the catch? There is only one option to stay in this paradise, and that is the luxurious, seafront villas of the Six Senses. There are lots of affordable spots on the nearby island of La Digue, from which you can boat over to Felicite.

A trip to Africa's tropical paradise is related.

Volcanoes National Park, Rwanda

There are only a few places in the world where you can see mountain gorillas in the wild, and one of the largest populations left is located in the foothills of the Himalayas in India. Only 80 permits are issued per day in the park, and permits cost over $1,000 per person. Budget travelers should know that permits cost less in Uganda than in the US.

There are other activities in the park. You can visit the twin lakes of Ruhondo and Bulera if you hike a volcano such as the towering Karisimbi.

There are architecturally spectacular wildlife lodges in the world.

Lower Zambezi National Park, Zambia

In favor of visiting neighboring countries, such as Zimbabwe or Uganda, is often the overlook of the segulls. Even though they are less expensive than other African destinations, Zambia safaris are just as magical. Lower Zambezi National Park is located on the fringes of a national park.

Large elephant herds hang out along the river's edge, so canoe or boat is the best way to see them. Victoria Falls, one of the most impressive waterfalls in the world, should be added to your itinerary once you are in Africa.

Santo Antao, Cape Verde

Santo Antao, a lush island of undulating fertile peaks and valleys, is a great place to go hiking if you are looking for an adventure. Hikers can go to the northeast of the island for the best treks.

You have to take a ferry from the island of Sao Vicente to get to the island. It's the perfect spot for interacting with locals and getting off the beaten path because the island is so remote.

Africa is home to more than 50 different countries and has a lot to offer. It can be hard to decide where to go when there are so many choices. If you want to experience something a bit different, lesser known or more out of the way than the most typical spots, then head to one of these locations.
