Robbie Anderson sent to locker room by interim head coach Steve Wilks (0:19)

The interim head coach kicked the receiver out of the game after a series of arguments with the coaching staff. (0:20).

A day after wide receiver Marquise "Hollywood" Brown suffered a foot injury that could end his season, the ArizonaCardinals acquired wide receiverRobbie Anderson.

Sources told Adam that Brown suffered a potentially season-ending injury in Arizona's loss to Seattle on Sunday. The X-rays on Brown's foot were negative, but he was undergoing further testing to find out the extent of the injury.

In six games this season, Brown has 43 catches for 485 yards and three touchdown

Anderson was acquired by the Cards for undisclosed draft compensation, according to a statement. The Carolinas will get a sixth- and seventh-round picks in the 20th century.

The trade came a day after Anderson was ejected from a game for arguing with his position coach.

"No one is bigger than the team," he said after the loss to the Rams. I won't put a lot of attention on one person.

Anderson started the second half on a stationary bicycle wearing a baseball cap after getting into a shouting match with the Carolinas' receivers coach. The rest of the offense talked strategy on the sideline while Anderson sat alone on a cooler.

Anderson and Dailey had an exchange in the third quarter when the Pitts were down 17-10 and without a first down since the first quarter. Anderson was taken to the locker room.

He didn't know why he was sent to the locker room. Anderson spoke to reporters after he met with Scott Fitterer.

Anderson was confused. I would like to be in the game. Nobody has yelled to get out of the game. I was confused and angry by that. I think I should be. Nobody that knows the value they bring and has a passion for the game will be ok with being told not to do something or being taken out of something.

Anderson is a member of a team that fell to 0-6. The team's offense has struggled without him, and he is expected to return from his suspension this week.

The nine points the Cards scored Sunday were tied for the second-fewest. The team hasn't scored 30 points or reached 400 yards in a game this year. Kyler Murray said after the game that Arizona's offense hasn't been as bad as it has been in the past.

He said that this was the last time he felt this way. It's difficult out there right now. It's tough. It feels that way. Put it on us. Got to improve.

After four seasons with the New York Jets, Anderson was brought to Carolina by Rhule.

He was given a two-year extension and only 53 catches for 519 yards.

Anderson did not have a catch. He had 13 catches for 206 yards and a touchdown in the opener, and had 75 of them in the second game.

The Cards will take on Anderson's salary for the rest of the year, while the panthers will take a $20 million dead cap hit.
