Although Analogue has been making retro console clones for 11 years now, its portable Pocket gained the company thousands of new fans who are desperate to get their hands on its older hardware which is hard to come by. An announcement made by the company over the weekend should have 16-bit gaming enthusiasts screaming at Analogue to stop selling their products.
In a post on its website, Analogue made three separate announcements. Almost all of the Pocket pre-orders will be shipped out this month and the rest of the year will end with a small amount of remaining orders.
The Analogue Pocket was delayed due to the Covid-19 Pandemic and the supply chain issues that came with it, but finally started shipping out in December of 2021, for those who pre-ordered. Everyone else, including those who waited until reviews were published, have had a much longer delay before getting their hands on one.
