Kanye West is buying Parler, the controversial 'free speech' social network

Parler is a controversial social media network that claims to be a "free speech" alternative to platforms like Twitter.

According to the press release, Ye's acquisition will lead the fight to create a truly non-cancelable environment. It is expected to close by the end of the year.

Ye said that in a world where conservative opinions are considered to be controversial, we have to make sure we have the right to express ourselves.

The CEO of Parlement Technologies said that the deal would change the world. The conservative commentator who has been photographed with Ye is married to Farmer.

"Ye is moving into the free speech media space and will never have to worry about being taken down from social media again." Farmer concluded that "Parlement will be honored to help him achieve his goals."

Ye's acquisition of Parler came after a lot of backlash. The rapper was locked out of his social media accounts for posting antisemitic comments. During Paris Fashion Week, Ye wore a "White Lives Matter" T-shirt that sparked outrage and widespread condemnation.

The acquisition announcement took place around the time Ye joined Parler.

Parler claims to be an alternative to social media platforms and a place for free speech. Two programmers from Nevada created the platform. The app became popular with conservatives in 2020.

Parler was removed from both the Apple Store and the Play Store due to his involvement in the January 6th insurrection at the U.S Capitol. Rioters discussed the attacks on the Capitol Building with the help of the app. In the wake of the Capitol Riots, Trump was banned from social media and launched a conservative social media platform.

Parler was put back on the App Store by Apple in May 2021. Parler agreed to mark and hide certain posts in order to tighten its moderation policies.

Users are encouraged to discuss and defend their values, passions, accomplishments and ideas in an environment that lets them be them, free of agenda-driven'shadow-banning'. The expression of all non-violent ideas can take place in a view point neutral environment.
