The members of the travel industry climbed the highest point in North Africa to raise money for charity.

The G Trek for Good trek saw the group climb the summit and exceed their goal of $20,000.

Abta LifeLine and the Planeterra Foundation will each get a portion of the funds.

Abta Lifeline will launch at a cost of 2 shillings per employee appeal.

Brian Young said there was huge power in bringing people together to raise money and take on the toughest challenge of their lives.

The commitment of our climbers and the incredible generosity of everyone who donated made it possible for us to raise over 30,000 dollars.

It is a tribute to our industry.

The funds raised through G Trek for Good will go towards supporting the most vulnerable in our travel community who are struggling with the cost of living crisis and have nowhere else to turn.

It will help them in their time of need.

I can't thank the people who stepped up to the challenge or the people who donated enough for them.

Donations can be made on the G Trek for Good page.
