Apple's Spatial Audio will be available in Mercedes-Benz cars.
Spatial Audio, Apple's music tech that makes the sound come at you from all directions, is only available on the company's own audio gear.
Music will be available in Spatial Audio for Mercedes-Benz's Maybach, the EQS and EQS SUV, the EQE, and the S-class models. Only cars with the MBUX system that have Spatial Audio will be able to use it.
For reference, the electric EQS sedan starts at $102,310, while the EQS SUV starts at $104,400.
You will need an Apple Music Individual or Family subscription to access the feature.
We are proud that our vehicles will be the first ever non-Apple devices to feature spatial audio. The seamless experience shows how in-car entertainment can reach exciting new levels by perfectly integrating hardware and software.
The first Mercedes-Benz model to get Spatial audio was the limited edition Mercedes- Maybach, which was launched last month. It has a Burmerster 4D sound system with 31 speakers and two Amps. If you're one of the 150 people who bought Spatial Audio, you'll be happy to know that it's coming to other models soon.
