Each episode's Most Valuable Player in the game is highlighted in the House of the DragonMVP.
People in House of the Dragon are either players or pieces. The king, great lords, and dominant individual powers are included in the players category. Smallfolk, most women, and "extra" members of the nobility with no real power, are in the pieces category.
In the game of thrones, it's important to distinguish the players from the pieces in order to have a safe game. Queen Alicent made a mistake in "The Green Council" because she did the right thing in ensuring her son Aegon took the throne from Rhaenyra.
Queen Alicent assumed that she and Rhaenys had something in common when she asked Rhaenys for her support. Both of them have been screwed over by powerful men. There are no similarities at that point. The path to power is always marred by sacrifice, Alicent believes. She sacrificed her youth and body to Viserys because of her father's ambition, she sacrificed her dignity to appease Larys Strong, and she sacrificed her morals to put her son on the throne. She sees Rhaenys alone and thinks that the princess is powerless.

Rhaenys is not one of those things. Rhaenys reminds the queen that she's talking to someone. Rhaenys will give you the courtesy of assuming there is a good reason for the outrage of my treatment this morning. She is aware that she deserves better.
Rhaenys delivered a smackdown worthy of the old gods and the new after Alicent argued that women aren't meant to rule. She told the queen that she still worked for men. To make a window in the wall of your prison is what you want. It's really sad.
Rhaenys has something similar to Targaryen women, an iron will and boundless self- worth. The reality was that she was better suited to rule than the throne. When Viserys passed over Laena for marriage, she didn't think much of it because she valued her daughter more than anything a husband could give her. She quarrels with her husband Corlys when she grieves for her dead children and he leaves Rhaenys and Driftmark in his place. Princess Rhaenys will never be powerless.
Rhaenys goes through the rest of the episode because of the ignorant sting of Alicent's "We are not meant to rule" When Ser Erryk Cargile breaks her out of her room, her only priority is to get to her dragon. They do. Rhaenys wanted to remind the Greens who they were playing against when the Dragons did what they wanted.
Princess Rhaenys spent decades of House Hightower's time, effort, and money by busting out the basement like a fire-breathing Kool-Aid man, dressed in battle armor and astride her dragon. The Red Queen is a dragon by Rhaenys.
