Do you agree with Garth Crooks' Team of the Week?Goalkeeper

Jose Sa (Wolves)

It is important for your goalkeeper to win games when your team is struggling.

Jordon Pickford is England's number one, even though his mistake cost them the game against Spurs.

In their time of need, Jose Sa came to the rescue for Wolves. Brennan Johnson's penalty didn't do the trick and produced a great save from the Portuguese keeper. The keepers who save you points are the best.

Defenders

James Milner (Liverpool)

You're likely to forget that he was once at Manchester City, where he achieved great success. He went on to greater things but no one thought he'd do that.

His performance against his former club was amazing. I'm not surprised that Klopp won't let him out of his sights because he's an exceptional professional and unflappable.

It is to the credit of the club that they have retained his services.

Joe Gomez (Liverpool)

Joe Gomez was almost certainly the weakest link in the defensive line up against City. He struggled with his form this season and was not expected to start the game.

At no time did Man City dominate Gomez. The defender was committed to his job. The game brought out the best in the England defender and it's a must for the country.

Thiago Silva (Chelsea)

In the first half, it was the other way around as the Blues went up by one at Villa Park. I don't understand why Cucurella is doing what he's doing at the club.

The Spaniard is not a top-our defender and he has been sold by Graham Potter.

Thiago Silva is not just a top-class defender, but he is also having to mentor two other players. The Brazilian is above everyone in the back line.

Lisandro Martinez (Manchester United)

Even though Manchester United played Omonia FC in the Europa League in midweek, they still found it hard to get a point against a difficult opponent in the form ofNewcastle.

Lisandro Martinez seems to be the only player that ten Hag seems to rely on. The whole team struggled in his first two games.

One of the smallest centre-backs in the league has been enjoying it since then and seems to be coming to terms with the league's physical nature. This was a game that could have been lost by United, but not anymore.

Midfielders

Mason Mount (Chelsea)

Mount's first goal was a little lucky but there was nothing lucky about his free- kick which flew past the Villa goal. Mount was outstanding in the win over AC Milan and seems to be enjoying his football.

This was a slightly better performance by Villa than the one last week against Forest, but I think manager Steven Gerrard is running out of ideas Philippe Coutinho looks like he has lost interest in the game.

Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg (Tottenham)

Before Spurs got into any sort of rhythm, they should have been 2-0 up. When a player finds themselves in a one-on-one situation with the goalkeeper, it's always amazing to me.

If Amadou Onana or Demarai Gray had kept their cool in front of the goal, it might have been a different story.

The control and composure shown by Hojbjerg, not always associated with the Denmark international, was what sealed the points for Spurs. I don't know why I was surprised, Hojbjerg has been a great addition to the team for a long time.

Bukayo Saka (Arsenal)

In the last three games, four goals have been scored. His goal against Bodo/Glimt in the Europa League was impressive, but his finish in the win overLeeds was crazy.

Even if it's a penalty, scoring goals is the most difficult goal to achieve on a football field. It's important to give a penalty to someone who knows what they're doing.

Patrick Bamford will testify after his miss from the spot, as he is the best penalty taker.

Even though the video assistant referee at Stockley park said that Gabriel's red card for violent conduct was rescinded, it's not clear why he saw it. The referee's decision has changed since the introduction of VAR.

Forwards

Dominic Solanke (Bournemouth)

Graham Scott's decision not to award Ryan Fredericks a penalty for Tim Ream's pull on the Bournemouth full-back was a poor one. When there is a clear and obvious error, isn't that exactly when we were told VAR would intervene, or has that fallen victim to the searchlight policy of trying to find incidents no one else has seen?

I don't know what Gary O'Neil has done to Bournemouth, but it seems to have worked. Dominic Solanke is up front and the Cherries are looking good. The forward is starting to look like a premier league player.

Ivan Toney (Brentford)

The first goal of Toney in the win over the Seagulls was impertinence. I don't think any player has taken a penalty as confident as the one he took. The keeper is sent the wrong way when he converts a penalty.

I thought Kepa Arrizabalaga and Sa's performances for Wolves were better than David Raya's for Brentford.

I have a lot of time for Thomas Frank but he doesn't have to touch the ball when a player from the other team tries to recover it. Don't let the ball go to waste.

Mohamed Salah (Liverpool)

You couldn't get away from the fact that the best player in the game was Mo Salah. He was in the mood for the game after scoring a hat-trick against Rangers.

It was schoolboy marking by Joao Cancelo that allowed the Egyptian to score. The game was over when Ederson was one-on-one with the Egyptian player. Anthony Taylor was the referee of the game.

The Crooks of the Matter

I was so alarmed by the news that Ivan Toney had received racist abuse from a fan that I barely slept.

The families of Toney and Henry were racially abused at Goodison Park after the game. The English Football League and police have been made aware of the "disgusting" racist abuse aimed at the Championship club's player, after he scored two goals against Queens Park Rangers.

When black players first burst onto the scene in any number, those that ran football should hang their heads in shame.

The game was forced to act after years of campaigning and the introduction of new laws. Football grounds are no longer used for racists to hurl abuse at players.

I have some good news for these people. If you don't learn to live with it, the modern game will continue to be torturous for you.
