Kenny Pickett's first start at Acrisure Stadium ended in the third quarter when he suffered a concussion after being hit by a player from the other team.
The man's head appeared to hit the ground after he was hit while throwing. He was on the ground after the game. After tending to him on the field, the medical personnel ran out and helped him to the sideline.
After a short time in the tent, he went into the tunnel for a concussion evaluation. Mitch Trubisky took over for Pickett in the third quarter.
Trubisky was 9-of-12 for 142 yards and a touchdown to help the Pittsburgh win.
He was 11-of-18 for 67 yards and a touchdown. He ran two times for 16 yards.
On the first drive, he completed all five of his attempts, including on the game's first three plays.
