There were injuries to the San Francisco 49ers. It continued to get worse.
Two more key Niners players, offensive tackle Mike McGlinchey and defensive back Charvarius Ward, left Sunday's loss to the Atlanta Falcons with injuries. The Niners ruled out a possible return for the two injured players early in the third quarter.
In the second quarter, McGlinchey was injured while blocking a short pass to Juszczyk. McGlinchey's left calf appeared to get clipped as he tried to clear room for Juszczyk to run.
McGlinchey tried to return in the second half, but Daniel Brunskill replaced him at right tackle.
Samuel Womack III came in for Ward in the second quarter, though it was not clear when he got hurt.
The 49ers have a growing list of injuries to their starting players. On the team's inactive list were defensive end Nick Bosa, tackle Trent Williams, defensive tackle Arik Armstead, and free safety Jimmy Ward.
The group doesn't include the Niners starters on injured reserve, which includes quarterback Trey Lance, linebacker Azeez Al-Shaair and running back Elijah Mitchell.
