It's a little sickening that the city of Philadelphia is rocking. The Philadelphians advanced to the NLCS for the first time in five years. The Eagles are the only team in the NFL that hasn't lost a game, and the NBA is in full swing again, so you can't get them to stop talking about the 76ers.
Hope comes from the Dallas Cowboys. For most of you, it is a choice between the two worst things in the world. All you have to do is remember how annoying the entire city of Philadelphia was when the Eagles won the Super Bowl a few years ago. I think it's disgusting.
The good news is that Dallas has beaten Philadelphia seven times in the last nine meetings between the two teams. The Cowboys bring one of the best defenses in the league to Lincoln Financial Field for the first time in years.
Dallas is the only team that has not given up more than 19 points in a game this year. The Cowboys defense has been very good. The defense isn't as good as last year, but it's still better.
Through the first five games of the season, 30 percent of Dallas' sacks have been contributed by Micah Parsons. The Cowboys have 20 sacks, good for second in the league. The Dallas defense is all about getting to the quarterback and they do it more than any other team. It has opened things up for everyone else because opposing offenses are so concerned about getting their quarterback. Demarcus Lawrence has 3 sacks.
The Philly defense is one of the best in the league. The Eagles are giving up the fourth-fewest yards in the league. The Eagles won their first game of the season against the Detroit Lions 38-35. They have to be stopped at all costs because of this.
You don't want to get this Philly ball rolling with their mean-spirited fan base because most of you think the Cowboys are annoying. The newest Cowboy, Jason Peters, knows this and will be playing in Philadelphia for the first time since he left. He will be welcomed by the crowd in Philadelphia. The fan bases of teams that have won the least are the most obnoxious once they win a few games. That is the fan base of Philadelphia.
Help us if the Eagles beat the Cowboys. Philadelphia will play at Pittsburgh, at Houston, and at Indianapolis. We can talk about the Eagles by Thanksgiving. That would be really bad.
Dallas must not let Hurts get outside the pocket and play with his legs. Dallas could be in danger even if he breaks the pocket. Hurts has improved as a passer from the pocket, but his ability to run can open things up and make it more difficult for defenses. I will keep him in the pocket if he plays that way. The Eagles running back is fourth in rushing yards and fifth in yards per game.
Cooper Rush needs to keep doing what he has been doing this year and not make any mistakes. Rush makes a couple of plays when the defense and running game are needed. It sounds simple, but that is how Dallas has been winning. That should be the plan no matter what happens.
The Dallas Cowboys put an end to all of this nonsense on October 16th. Even if the Cowboys beat the Eagles, the chances of them cashing in at the end of the season is not likely. It is possible that the Eagles could pay it off for some reason.
Outside of the city of brotherly love, nobody wants that. We are begging you to stop this madness and send every Philly fan to Lincoln Financial home with their tails tucked after a thorough ass-kicking.
Dallas will win by 20. Go Padres.
