The U.S. Jewish community was bashed on Sunday by former President Donald Trump.

It is too late for U.S. Jews to appreciate what Israel has to offer. Trump made a statement on his website.

While lauding his support for Israel, Trump said American Jews don't appreciate his accomplishments. He said that no president has done more for Israel than he has. Surprisingly, our wonderful evangelicals are more appreciative of this than the people of the Jewish faith are.

Antisemites have argued for hundreds of years that Jews can have dual loyalty to their faith and to Israel.

This is a canard that Trump has promoted before.

President Trump drew a lot of criticism when he said American Jews who support Democrats were disloyal to Israel. He said that if you want to vote for the Democrats, you have to be very disloyal to Jewish people.

Jonathan Greenblatt, the chief executive of the Anti-Defamation League, said that charges of disloyalty have always been used to attack Jews. He said that Jews should not be used as a political football.

Trump faced accusations of antisemitism in 2020 when he referred to Israel as your country. He referred to the Israeli prime minister as your prime minister.

Trump said in a Sunday post on Truth Social that he could win an election for president himself.

He wrote that those living in Israel are different from Americans. P.M. is the highest approval rating in the world.
