Donald Trump called on Jewish Americans to get their act together, the latest in a series of comments he has made about Jewish Americans.
In a post on his social media platform, Trump claimed he has done more for Israel than any other U.S. president, but Jewish Americans are less appreciative of his actions than evangelical Christians.
He said he enjoys the highest approval rating in the world among Jewish people in Israel, and that he could easily become the prime minister.
Before it's too late, Trump wrote, Jewish Americans need to get their act together.
It is not the first time that Trump has said Jewish Americans don't appreciate him or Israel enough. In December, Trump said Jewish people in the US either don't like Israel or don't care about it. Trump said that people who are Jewish no longer love Israel and thatevangelical Christians love Israel more than the Jews. The Anti-Defamation League said it was disturbing that Trump used antisemitic stereotypes about Jews. A common antisemitic troupe that Jewish Americans have split loyalties between the U.S. and Israel was recalled by President Trump when he said that any Jewish American who voted for a Democratic candidate would be guilty ofIgnorance or Great disloyalty.
In an interview with Forbes, Trump said Jewish Americans no longer love Israel.
According to the ADL report, antisemitic incidents in the U.S. hit a 42 year high in 2011.
