Utah stuns USC on Cameron Rising's TD, 2-point conversion (0:37)

After punching in a late touchdown on 4th-and-1 and then punching in the two-point conversion, Utah won the game. There is a time and a place for this.

Salt was on top of the wound, and it was being felt by the man. As the sophomore quarterback answered questions, he could hear the fans in the stadium still cheering.

Williams accounted for 437 yards of offense. He was shown crying as he left the field. I had a little bit of emotion because I hated it.

The first loss of the Lincoln Riley era happened in a style of game that the USC have expected to win. It became too much for USC to overcome because of mistakes and injuries.

Riley said that they didn't play as clean as they would have liked. They made one more play or we made another mistake. Several times we were very close to running away with it.

After USC led 214-7 in the first half and seemed to have the game in control, Utah unleashed a 36-21 scoring run that culminated in a touchdown and successful 2-point conversion by quarterback CAMERON RISING. Riley thought there was plenty of time for USC to win the game, but the offense didn't cross the goal line as time expired.

"I thought we were going to win the game until the last second," Dye said. It's difficult to take.

On a night when USC's offense still scored 42 points, USC's defense could not keep up with the combination of Rising and tight end There were a lot of flags. Riley didn't want to put the loss entirely on the 12 penalties for 93 yards that the USC had.

Riley said that the game should have been won by them. The calls did not go your way tonight. It was just another thing we had to overcome.

USC lost two important players to injury. The stars of the game left the game with injuries. The two returned to the sideline without pads on. Riley didn't give an update.

We're supposed to get it done no matter what. It's not a single guy that this loss is on.

Williams said he had circled the Utah game on his calendar since before the season, and Dye said he had never beaten the Utah team in Utah. It was supposed to be a measuring stick for a USC team that hadn't been tested by a ranked team yet, and in an ideal world for USC, it would show that this team could be turned into a legitimate contender. The result left Riley and Co. angry and ready to go back to work.

Riley said he was pissed because they lost. I'm ready to start practicing right now.

Riley leaned on experience in his message after the game. As he pointed out, he and some of his staff from Oklahoma have been in this position before and believe that the loss won't affect the rest of the season.

Nick Figueroa didn't hesitate when he was asked how confident he was that USC could still accomplish its goals even after the loss.

He said he was extremely confident.

The same thing was said by Riley. He thinks that if we handle this like we will. We have a chance.

With no margin for error, Riley and the USC are still hoping for a conference title and more.
