Key visual for Studio Orange's Trigun Stampede.

A few months ago, the news broke that the fan-favorite 1998 anime Trigun would be getting a remake. The new show, called Trigun Stampede, had a flashy 3D art style and a new look for its main character, Vash the Stampede. A new trailer shows off some of the characters that Vash will cross paths with.

Nicknamed the "humanoid typhoon" and with a high bounty on his head, Vash arrives on the planet of No Man's Land and soon finds himself in trouble with bounty hunters and the locals. After being saved by a pair of reporters who were investigating him for a story, the three find themselves and a priest.

I don't know how this looks compared to the original Trigun, I didn't watch it as a kid. I like it because it's on its own merits. The art style is beautiful, the characters look nice, and it just looks fun. With the recent return of Bleach, along with a recent anniversary video for Naruto, this trailer is coming at the right time for people who grew up watching the show.

The movie Trigun Stampede will be released on January 23,23. There are a lot of new and returning shows in the month, including the second season of Tokyo Revengers and the fourth season of Bungou Stray Dogs.
