The Starlink satellite internet terminal for the Ukrainian government will continue to be funded by Musk's company.

Even though Starlink is still losing money, we will keep funding the Ukranian government.

It was unclear if Musk was being sarcastic. Musk said, "we should still do good deed." He said, "Fate loves irony." He was responding to a statement that Musk had paid taxes that were funding the defense of Ukraine.

Musk said on Friday that he couldn't continue funding Starlink in Ukraine because the Pentagon had asked for the costs.

Requests for comment were not responded to by Musk.

According to a report by CNN, the use of Starlink could cost $400 million over the next year. Several contracts have been signed with the US government.

Even though communication infrastructure gets destroyed during the war against Russia, the Starlink internet terminals donated by the company have been crucial in keeping the military online. In February, Russia invaded Ukraine.

Musk drew criticism from Ukrainian officials when he posted a poll on his social media site to gauge support for what he claimed was a likely outcome of the war in Russia.

He replied to a post that referenced the Ukrainian ambassador telling Musk to "f--- off" and said that the company was leaving the country.

Musk said they were following his recommendations.

The founder of the company had tried to get out of the bidding for the company. If he wants to avoid a trial, he has until October to complete the acquisition.
