Players and staff clash in dugout
West Ham boss Konchesky was sent off during his side's win over Aston Villa

Konchesky was sent off for arguing with an official during his side's win over Villa in the Women's Super league.

After hitting out at Mayling, Cissoko got a red card.

As Cissoko left the pitch, there was a fight in the bench.

Konchesky was sent off by the ref.

I got to go down the tunnel with their guy. It is a bit harsh. Konchesky said it was probably because he was sticking up for his player.

Whatever the consequences, I'll take them because I'm looking after my players.

I understand that we don't want that to happen in football. I will stick up for my players and that's what I've done.

Konchesky didn't know what happened on the pitch. I saw the opponent raising her hands, but I didn't see the other one.

She stays on the pitch even though she's been sent off.

Some of their staff are saying stuff to my players, which I don't respect, so me and my staff will obviously stick up for my players.

It's similar to what's going on on the field.

'It shouldn't be in the game'

The scenes at the end of the match were ugly, according to the manager.

She said that the punch in the face from Cissoko on Mayling was not ok.

From what I have seen, the brawl in the dugout is not okay.

The players responded well to the fight.

The Villa boss said he didn't know what triggered it. The girls were prepared for a physical afternoon.

Is that physical? Did we have an idea of what that would look like? It is not possible to say yes.

Our players didn't get involved and that's important because it's important we stay focused on football.
