The CEO of Meta stated that the transition to the metaverse will take years, but he seemed to have high hopes for the first part of the metaverse. It's the first flagship metaverse offering for consumers. It was launched for everyone to use a year ago, but has fallen short of expectations.

About a year after it was fully available to the public, Meta wanted half a million active users by the end of 2022. That's less than the 3.5 billion average monthly users that the three social media companies garners.

Not many people are using the company's virtual reality platform. Nine percent of the world's have been visited by 50 people or more.

The company had a weird announcement earlier this week about the legs on theavatar. The legs are not ready to be rolled out. There is one more idea.
