Daniel Radcliffe, who played Harry Potter in the film franchise, remembered Coltrane as a magical cast member.

The statement reads, "Robbie was one of the funniest people I have ever met and used to keep us laughing constantly as kids on the set!" He kept our spirits up on 'Prisoner of Azkaban' when we were all hiding from the rain in Hagrid's hut and he was telling stories and cracking jokes. I feel lucky to have met and worked with him, and sad that he has passed. He was an amazing man.

The actress who played Hermoine in the movie wrote a letter to the person who inspired her.

His talent was so great it made sense that he played a giant. I will do it in your name and memory if I ever get to be like you on a film set. Do you know how much I love you? I'll miss your warmth, your hugs, and your sweet nature. We are a family because of you. You were that to us, right? Hagrid was the best. It was a pleasure to be a part of it.

Tom Felton, who played Draco Malfoy in the Harry Potter film, wrote that the presence of Coltrane was one of the best parts of the movie.

The first film in the Harry Potter series was shot in the forbidden forest. I was young at that time. The people around him were looked after byRobbie. "Effortlessly," he wrote on the social networking site. It made them laugh. It's effortless. He was a big man in real life. Thank you for everything, I love you.

Friends, family, and costars will remember Coltrane for his talent, fun coworker, and kindness. His children's generation will show them to their children the legacy of the movies. You might be watching in 50 years. I won't be here but Hagrid will.
