No one knows the inner workings of a CFO. We notice when three high-profile CFOs leave their jobs in quick succession.
Brian Roberts left the company less than a year after he took the job. The CFO of Brex left the company to join another expense management company. On the same day as the shuffle, Brex announced it had to reduce staff. The CFO who stepped down so Swiecicki could take the helm is back in his old position.

That is not the only thing. Noom, a diet and health coaching platform, confirmed that its CFO, Mike Noonan, is leaving the job two years after joining.
The CFO departures are not related to the layoffs. The job of a chief financial officer is one of the reasons for layoffs.
