A theme park is coming to Dominican Republic: Travel Weekly

The Dominican Republic is not a big destination for theme parks, but a partnership is trying to change that.

Melia Hotels International and Falcon's Beyond plan to open a park in the Dominican Republic.

There is a park in Mallorca, Spain.

The new resort brand will be called Falcon's Resort by Melia and will be a multiphase transformation of two existing Melia properties.

The park will only be open to guests. Guests will be able to experience rides and attractions that are part of the Falcon's Beyond franchise.

There are additional attractions including a mini-golf course, an outdoor ropes course, a climbing course, carnival-style games and an arcade.

The opening date of the parks in Playa Del Carmen, Mexico, and Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, will be announced later.
