Nancy Pelosi can be seen discussing safety and a plan to certify the election on a call with Mike Pence during the siege on the Capitol.

The footage was released by CNN on Friday.

In the clip, Pelosi says that they are not safe enough to return to. We're trying to figure out how we can get this job done today because they're still trying to penetrate the building.

The House and Senate may meet at Fort McNair in Washington, DC, to complete the certification process. Schumer can be heard telling Pelosi that it would take several days for the Capitol to be cleaned.

In the footage, Pelosi can be heard saying the politicians present were "unified," with "no partisanship, no anything," with the then-Vice President and stressed the importance of completing the certification same day.

"I'm worried about you being in the Capitol," Pelosi said at the end of the clip.

Pelosi told an aide that she would punch Donald Trump if he showed up at the Capitol and that she told Vice President Mike Pence not to tell anyone where he was hiding.

Representatives for Pelosi and Pence didn't reply to Insider's questions.
