Aaron Judge sets MLB record with fourth, four-strikeout playoff game

During the season, Judge hit 62 home runs. People will be booed by the crowd at Yankee Stadium if they think they are performing poorly. During the Yankees 4-2 loss to Cleveland in the ALDS, Judge became the target.

The Yankees fans booed Judge as he walked back to the bench after striking out for the fourth time in the game. Judge's fourth four-strikeout playoff game was the most in MLB history.

I can't do anything. Judge told him to play better. It comes down to that. The job didn't get done tonight.

The Indians pitchers targeted Judge with breaking balls on the outer half of the plate. In the first two games against Cleveland, Judge swung late when he could hit in the middle of the strike zone.

Judge said, "You're going to be swinging at pitches you don't normally swing at, and the ones you can hit, you're just a tick late or tick out in front." It will be good to go if I work on that timing.

The Yankees manager said the pitching staff did a good job against Judge.

They executed against him a lot today. He's not going to hit the couple pitches he's got to hit. I think a lot of today was the result of execution by them, and this was just a challenging day to pick up spin, things like that.

Terry Francona kept his mouth shut when asked if Cleveland had a plan to attack Judge.

Francona doesn't mean to be rude, but if he did he wouldn't want to share it. It's not a lot of sense. Sometimes hitters can't hit a button, and other times they take 0-fors.

Nine days of rest between the end of the regular season and the playoffs did not affect Judge's timing at the plate. As the Yankees head to Cleveland for the third and fourth game of the series, he doesn't expect Judge's struggles to continue.

Judge has had bad games in the past. It is part of the thing. You have to learn from it, you have to learn from mistakes, and you have to be ready for the next one.

The victory flag on Judge hasn't been waved yet by the guardians.

Francona doesn't think anyone will stand up here and pound our chest until the series is over. He's too risky. We're aware of that.

Judge was a hitter who hit 62 homers this season, despite his struggles through the first two games. The rest of the Yankees are confident that he will find his swing before the series ends.

"He hasn't had a lot of at-bats," the Yankees' designated hitter stated. You can use it as a sample size. It's over now because he has time. That doesn't mean anything. He will help us win two out of three.
