According to sources, Tom Brady was fined $11,139 for attempting to kick Atlanta Falcons defensive end Grady Jarrett on a sack.
After reviewing the play where Brady was slinging Brady to the ground, the league told Brady of the fine. Brady kicked his foot up while on the ground but didn't make contact with Jarrett.
After being flagged for roughing the passer on third-and-5 with 3:03 left, the Bucs were able to get the ball back at the Atlanta 32.
For a first offense, the fine is $11,139 and for a second offense, it's $16,444.
Brady has been fined before for trying to kick someone. Brady tried to kick Ed Reed.
The coach didn't know about the kick. He ruled out Sean Murphy-Bunting and Ryan from the game on Friday.
When asked about Brady's fine, Smith didn't say anything.
