The owner of the Washington Commanders said he had "dirt" on Jerry Jones.

Jones didn't have anything to say about it other than he didn't know where the resources came from. I didn't know anything in that. If anyone wants to put something in my car or call me, get in line.

The deep-dive into the ownership of the Commanders franchise was written by Don Van Natta Jr., Tisha Thompson and others.

If the NFL tries to force Jones to sell the Commanders, the Cowboys owner is said to have a "file" on him. One of the most reviled owners in the professional sports world is the owner of the Washington Wizards.

A veteran owner said that all the owners hated Dan.

One agent called Jones the league's "shadow commissioner" over the summer, saying he was the most influential owner. He and other owners are known to wield significant power behind the scenes with the commissioner.

There are allegations of financial improprieties by Snyder and an investigation into sexual improprieties in the Commanders organization, which has caused the relationship between the two to break down.

"Snyder has lost Jerry," a source said.

Despite releasing a statement saying he and Jones have a "great respect and admiration" for one another, the troubled Snyder has continued to rip Jones. The team stated that the report was "misinformation" and that the Commanders would not be sold.

It's hard to imagine a piece that is categorically untrue, and is part of a well-funded, two-year misinformation campaign to force the sale of the team, which will continue to be unsuccessful.

The Commanders have been owned by the same person for over a decade. The team has gone from a perennial playoff contender and one of the most popular in the league to a laughing stock.
