Law enforcement sources told ABC 11 that a police officer and at least four other people were killed in a shooting in Raleigh.
The suspect is still on the run.
In the Heddingham neighborhood, officers responded to a shooting call near the Neuse River.

The investigation is still going on. There are sections of the neighborhood that are not open. Law enforcement officials should be followed on the scene.

State resources have been made available by the North Carolina Department of Public Safety. State Highway Patrol aviation and local patrol members, State Capitol Police Officers, and Alcohol Law Enforcement Special agents have all responded to assist the Raleigh Police Department.
Eddie M. Buffaloe, Jr., Secretary of the NCDPS, said, "DPS is giving any needed resources as requested in this investigation and working with local law enforcement to stop this shooter."

People in the area of McConnell Oliver Drive, Tarheel Club Drive, and Old Milburnie Road are being told to stay indoors. The drivers are advised to avoid the area.

The Raleigh Police Department is on the scene of a shooting near the Neuse River. People in that area are advised to stay indoors.
Questions remain on how the co-pilot got out of the plane.
There is no further information available.
